I always loved to care for horses, day to day barn tasks, and tending to their every need has been a great passion for me. Around the same time I brought my first pony home my grandfather and step grandmother Harry and Mary Jo Meyerhoff had begun bringing their retired race horses home to rehab and sell. This was my first glimpse of a higher level of Equine care and I fell in love. Once I started tuning into this passion more, I realized how common sport horse injuries are. When I went to college I was determined to find a way to get into Equine Sports Sciences. Upon enrollment at Salisbury University I sought a degree in Exercise Science in order to develop a career in Equine Sports Sciences. After Graduation I completed a summer internship at Fair Hill Rehabilitation Center furthering my experience with cutting edge technology and Equine care like theirs. When my own personal horse was injured I began tackling a 6 month recovery plan set up by my veterinarian. Using my knowledge of human exercise physiology I mapped out my own recovery plan for my gelding. After a full summer of careful practice and planning I knew I found my calling. With the help of many vets and equine professionals I chose Equinology to take my Equine Bodyworker Certification. After an intense training through their prestigious program I was prepared to start my business. From then on I have been working to bring Bodywork and Rider Exercise Physiology to Marylands Eastern Shore.
